Preab Meadar to bring mind-blowing show to Enniscorthy
"Take a metre from old Irish poetry, distil its alliterative syllabic playfulness and exploit its harmonic possibilities with fiddle, and what you might get is Preab Meadar. Singer, Lorcán MacMathúna and fiddler, Daire Bracken describe it as a meta-morphosis from strict metre poetry rooted in the period of the 10th-16th centuries into music." Irish Times
Preab Meadar Rhythm and Rhyme is a “mesmerising” performance of 4 traditional artists; voice, fiddle and two dancers, performing the newest innovations in sean-nós dance with the most "extraordinary wordcraft and music rhythms". On Saturday Sept 7th (3pm), Preab Meadar Rhythm and Rhyme will be playing in the Presentation Centre, Enniscorthy. Tickets from Wexford Arts Centre: tel 053 9123764.
